McLeod On-Site Health Services and Florence County Host Open House and Ribbon Cutting

McLeod On-Site Health Services and Florence County hosted an Open House and Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, March 21. Individuals received tours through the newly expanded and relocated McLeod On-Site Health Center-Florence County.

The need for an expansion of the on-site facility became apparent once the Health Center began offering services to employees, their families, and retirees. With the relocation of the McLeod

On-Site Health Center – Florence County, individuals have access to state-of-the-art equipment, triage areas, multiple exam rooms, a designated testing room, and a larger waiting room to better accommodate the increased utilization of the facility.

“Our goal is to provide excellent and expedient care to all who walk through the doors of our

On-Site Health Centers,” said Octavia Williams-Blake, Vice President of McLeod Workplace Health and Safety. “We understand from an employer and employee point of view, time away from work is loss of productivity and lost wages. Having an On-Site Health Center provides access to medical care that is convenient for all.”

“We thank County Council and the County Administrator for their vision to see the positive impact an on-site health center can have for the county and its employees,” said Florence County Chairman Reverend Waymon Mumford. “We appreciate McLeod and their staff for the partnership we have formed in order to make this a viable project for everyone involved.”

McLeod On-Site Health Center – Florence County will provide the following occupational health services: Work-related injury/illness treatment, Primary Care, EKG Services, DOT Certified Exams and Physicals, Comprehensive Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs, Spirometry Testing, Firefighter Physicals, Flu Shots, Wellness Programs including Screenings and Disease Care Management, Flu Shots, Immunizations and Vaccinations, and Pre-Employment Physicals. Workers’ Compensation is also accepted.

Amanda Coleburn, APRN-C, DrPH will be the on-site provider. With more than 35 years of experience in providing patient care at McLeod, Coleburn joined the Florence County team in March 2014 to offer on-site health care for their employees.

“This on-site health center is a place for the provision of excellence in healthcare,” said Amanda Coleburn, McLeod Health Nurse Practitioner. “With the collaboration of McLeod and Florence County, we are able to support the healthcare that can be given to this county.”
